ANITKABİR

Türk Kurtuluş Savaşının Başkomutanı, çağdaş Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin Kurucusu ölümsüz önder, eşsiz kahraman, Türk devrimlerinin mimarı, büyük devlet adamı Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, Türk Milleti için değil, tüm dünya devletleri için örnek bir liderdir. Tüm yaşamını bir ulusun inşasını adayan ve bu ülküyü gerçekleştirirken dünya barışından yana tavrını hep birinci ilke kılan ulu önder, insanlık tarihinin en büyük komutanlarından ve devlet adamlarından birisidir.

Anıtkabir, özgürlüğüne ve bağımsızlığına kavuşturduğu Türk Ulus’unun ATATÜRK’ e olan minnet borcunun bir ifadesidir.

Kaybettiği büyük önderinin ölümsüz kişiliğine yakışır bir anıtmezar yapılması Türk ulusunun ortak bir dileğiydi.

ATATÜRK’ ün 10 Kasım 1938’ de ebediyete intikal etmesinden sonra, dönemin hükümeti tarafından oluşturulan bir komisyon, Anıtkabir’ in yerinin seçilmesi için görevlendirildi. Bu komisyon çalışmaları sonunda oy çokluğu ile 906 rakımlı Rasattepe’ de Anıtkabir’ in Yapılmasına karar verdi. Aynı komisyon tarafından 1 Mart 1941 tarihinde uluslararası bir yarışma açıldı. Bu yarışmaya Türkiye, Almanya, İtalya, Avusturya, İsviçre, Fransa ve Çekoslavakya’ dan toplam 47 proje katıldı. Bu projelerden 3 tanesi komisyon tarafından ödüle layık görüldü. Proje yarışma şartları gereğince birinciyi seçme hakkı hükümete verilmişti. Milli konuyu daha başarılı ifade etmesi ve projenin araziye uygunluğu sebebiyle, Türk mimarlar Prof. Emin ONAT ve Doç. Orhan ARDA’ nın projesinin Anıt mezar olarak yapılması karar verildi. 9 Ekim 1994 tarihinde Anıtkabir’in yapımına başlandı. İnşaat 4 aşamalı olarak 9 yıllık bir sürede tamamlandı. 10 Kasım 1953 tarihinde ise ATATÜRK’ ün naaşı 1938 yılında beri 15 yıl süreyle muhafaza edildiği geçici kabri olan Etnografya Müzesi’ nden alınarak, büyük bir törenle ebedi istirahatgahı olan Anıtkabir’ e defnedildi.

ANITKABİR, 750 bin metrekarelik bir alan üzerinde kurulu olup bu alanın yaklaşık 120 bin metrekarelik kısmı Anıt Bloğu, 630 bin metrekarelik kısmı ise Barış Parkı’ dır.

Anıt Bloğu ise Aslanlı Yol, Tören Meydanı ve Mozole olmak üzere üç bölümden oluşur. Yapı topluluğu içerisinde simetri gözetilerek yerleştirilmiş on adet kule yer alır. Bu kulelere, İstiklal, Hürriyet, Müdafaa-i Hukuk, Mehmetçik, Zafer, Barış, 23 Nisan, Misak-ı Milli, İnkılap, Cumhuriyet isimleri verilmiştir. Verilen bu isimler, ulusunun ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin inşasında büyük rol oynayan yüce kavramları temsil eder.

Anıtkabir’in en önemli kısmı olan ANITKABİR ATATÜRK ve Kurtuluş Savaşı Müzesi ise, 21 Haziran 1960 tarihinde ATATÜRK Müzesi ismiyle hizmete açılmıştır. Bu dönemde müze, ATATÜRK’ün özel eşyalarının bulunduğu bölüm ve ATATÜRK Özel Kitaplığı’nın yer aldığı Sanat Galerisi’nin yer aldığı kısım olmak üzere iki bölümden oluşmaktaydı. 26 Ağustos 2002 tarihinde müzeye panoramalar ve Tonozlu galeriler bölümünün de eklenmesiyle ATATÜRK Müzesi, ATATÜRK ve Kurtuluş Savaşı Müzesi ismini almıştır. ATATÜRK ve Kurtuluş Savaşı Müzesi dört bölümden oluşur. Birinci bölümde ATATÜRK’ün özel eşyaları sergilenmekte; ikinci bölümde Panorama ve yağlı boya tablolarla Çanakkale ve Kurtuluş Savaşı; üçüncü bölümde 18 galeride Milli Mücadele ve Devrimler anlatılmakta; dördüncü bölümde ise ATATÜRK’e ait kitaplar ile dokunmatik bilgisayarlar (Kiosk) yer almaktadır.

Türk Milletinin Kurtuluş Savaşı’nın ve onun ulu önderinin bu eşsiz mücadelesinin gelecek nesillere ve bütün dünyaya anlatılması açısından ATATÜRK ve Kurtuluş Savaşı Müzesi’nin önemi büyüktür.
